Three Pepper Steak Burger

Hamburgers with corn and snap peas make a great 4th of July meal. There is nothing better than a big ole hamburger to celebrate on the 4th. The burger is topped off with pepper jack cheese, onions and red peppers for some really great flavors.

For this hamburger I decided to make my own ground beef using some really nice steaks. To start out, I picked up two rib eye steaks. A food processor works great for grinding up the steaks. The steaks will process easier if they are partially frozen, so after cutting off the steak bone, he put the steaks in the freezer for about 2 hours. Once they were partially frozen remove them from the freezer and cut up into smaller squares. They ground up amazingly fast in the food processor. There you have it — gound beef. Season with a liberal amount of salt,  ground black pepper and ground rosemary.

To cook — Put the burger on the fire — It’s the grill man !

After grilling the burger — Topped with pepper jack cheese, sauteed yellow onions and sauteed red peppers.

To serve — Kaiser rolls ( just make sure your hamburger is big enough) and BBQ sauce.

Side dishes — Snap peas grilled in oil and salted. Grilled corn seasoned with paprika, salt, and black pepper.
