Chicago char dog was great. Lots of veges and the crunchy dog was a great flavor combo. I did make a couple modifications to the classic recipe. Most notably, I was unable to find the southie peppers so I used habanero pickeled okra. The okra was spicy and added both flavor and texture to the dog. For the char dog I followed this recipe. There’s no question why the Chicago Hot Dog is so popular. It’s packed with tons of flavor !
