Sirloin steak

A sirloin steak packs a ton of flavor and it’s a less expensive cut than the ribeye or tenderloin. A sirloin steak doesn’t have a lot of fat on it so it’s really key to cook it medium rare or medium at most. Overcooking can make the sirloin toughen up plus the flavor won’t be there.

This steak is 1.25 inches thick and was seasoned with a simple steak seasoning and canola oil. The steak was cooked on the grill 4 minutes per side (turned 90 degrees at 2 minutes) and then finished in oven at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes.

Served with mushrooms and cob on the corn.
