Slow cooking a pork shoulder is a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon for this dude. This pork shoulder is an inexpensive piece of meat — but slow cooked will become really tender and flavorful. This recipe is simple and I used some of the meat to make pork teryiaki.
Ingredients:
- 4-6 pound pork shoulder
- 1 cup teriyaki sauce
Prep:
- Place the pork and teryiaki sauce in large zip-lock bag and marinade in refrigerator overnight.
Cooking:
- Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
- Place pork in roasting pan. Cover with tin foil.
- Put pork in oven and cook for 5 hours.
There’s a ton of ways to serve this. That’s one of the great things about this recipe. To make the pork teriyaki I shredded some of the pork using 2 porks and tossed with cooked asparagus and some additional teriyaki sauce. Served over white rice.
